Westpac Group
EMC are the incumbent to Westpac for managing storage (excluding Block Storage). Their contract was recently renewed for a further 5 years and one of the master deliverables is to move data from legacy VMAX platforms to new ExtremI/O and Flash storage.
In order to do so, the project delivery is structured in 3 phases;
- Phase 1 – Network Build and Management Setup
- Phase 2 – Process, Compliance and Documentation criteria
- Phase 3 – Migration of Data.
The first two phases of the project form the Transition component and the last is Transformation of the Storage environment.
This is an Enterprise wide project to Transition and Transform the current Storage Solution to a new Enterprise Platform.
Vendors under management include EMC, IBM, Oracle and Telstra
