This was quite an innovative move by the Commonwealth Bank of Australia to access Microsoft’s Azure network via Telstra’s newly launched Cloud Connect product.
The project required build of network infrastructure in order to connect to the Telstra Cloud network via Cisco switches. Once the appropriately redundant and secure network connectivity was established, the project needed to route securely through the Telstra Cloud Connect network into Microsoft’s Azure network.
Once established successfully, the network was handed over to CommBank engineers to complete configuration and move data as required to the new platform.
