Telstra – Qantas
Network Refresh Project: Cisco infrastructure, Windows desktop, Windows/Netware/Lotus server, NEC equip, to a total scope of 169 sites.
Within project scope were 60 Qantas airports & offices, as well as the Engineering airports of Avalon & Tullamarine & the Security Defence Hangar in Canberra servicing the C130 Hercules that carry our troops to Iraq and beyond.
Achievement Include:
Design & Implementation of process & standards for Detailed Implementation Plans, pioneering migration methodologies, & management of Conceptual & Detailed Designs.
Since January 07, successfully migrated, 60 airports & offices, circa 600 devices & 100 + carriage services (ATM, FRAME, TTL & BDSL). Regular implementation issues challenged a backout, but on every occasion the site was successfully migrated without issues, supporting a `No Backout’ policy in support of client. The support of a good tech team made this possible.
The focus was always preserving integrity of customer’s business (keeping flights on time) & the project timeline.
